PALEO BREAD RECIPE
mix the almond flour, flaxseed meal, whole flaxseed, salt, baking soda and arrowroot powder
melt the butter and whisk together with the eggs, apple cinder vinegar and yogurt
combine with the dry mixture and pour batter into an 8½” x 4½” medium loaf pan greased or lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with whole flaxseeds on top.
bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean
let bread cool on a wire rack, cut into thin slices and serve
*coconut cream – thick coconut cream that forms on the top of a can of full fat coconut milk when left in the fridge for over 12 hours.

  • ⅓ cup + 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal
  • 1 teaspoon whole flaxseed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup arrowroot powder
  • 6 tablespoons butter (or coconut oil)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon apple cinder vinegar
  • ½ cup greek plain yogurt (or *coconut cream)

  1. wow this sounds great … what does the arrowroot powder do and is there a substitute or can you leave it out?

  2. Can the flax be left out? I’m allergic to numerous foods, but flax was the only one my doctor felt should be completely removed from my diet.
