Baked Jicama Fries
Cooking Steps
A satisfyingly crunchy alternative to starchy french fries. To make these non-dairy, try substituting cashew or almond meal for the cheese and adding a bit of nutritional yeast for flavor.
- Pre-heat oven to 375 F.
- Cut jicama into 1/4″ thick lengthwise slices, then cut again into 1/4″ sticks to resemble fries. Try to keep them sliced as evenly as possible for even baking.
- Toss sticks with evoo.
- Mix together cheese and spices in a ziploc baggie, toss in jicama, seal bag and give it several good shakes to evenly coat the fries.
- Place onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spaced apart so they are not touching each other.
- Bake for 15mins. Remove from oven, toss/flip fries, return to oven for another 10mins or until baked to a nice golden brown color.
- Consume immediately

Oooooo! Now these I gotta try! I love jicama in all it’s incarnations but this is a new one for me!
I was very dissappointed..looked just like fries but the crunch was not appealing at all..I cooked them longer on a lower light but they never softened.
Yumm this definitely helps with my fries cravings. We really enjoyed them
