Cinnamon Swirl Banana Cake
Cooking Steps
This one is from our great friend Esther at http://paleoonmain.blogspot.com/!!!
Grease 8X8 Cake pan with coconut oil.
Tip: I put a chunk of coconut oil in the bottom of the pan and put it in the preheating oven for a minute or two. This will liquefy it enough to just coat the pan well, plus it makes a nice crispy fried edge to the cake.
Mix together all cake ingredients, folding in the walnuts last.
Pour into cake pan.
Mash 1 additional banana with cinnamon.
Dollop swirl mixture onto top of cake and cut in with a knife.
Bake at 350 for 40 or until a toothpick comes out cleanly
Enjoy plain or slathered with additional coconut oil.

anxious to try this one. Thanks for a recipe that uses ingredients I already have on hand.
What’s the carb count on this? Looks great!
This looks great…my stomach is already growling!
I LOVE bananas and this looks like something I’d like, but I can’t get coconut flour anywhere, only desiccated coconut. Do you think this recipe would work if I used only almond meal? Or maybe desiccated coconut instead of coconut flour?
Hi Jessy
Coconut flour is actually a flour, nothing like desiccated coconut, so I suggest you keep looking. Even if you live in a small town you can buy it online and have it delivered.
Jessy — I can never find it in stores either, but I just ordered some on Amazon yesterday. Free shipping, decent prices, and tons of different brands to choose from.
Very good! Thanks for sharing. I reduced the cooking time to about 32 minutes…any longer and it would have burned.
Hi,
but it came out delicious! I used 1/2 cup instead of 1/4 cup and I added fresh pitted cherries. Yumm
Sorry my comment is delayed. Just thought I might add that I have tried this recipe with desiccated coconut as that is all you can buy in melb, Australia
Just found the same recipe on another site. Guess I’m gonna make this one then.

YUM!! I just made the recipe this morning. It was sooo easy and delicious! I put a dollop of Nikki’s Vanilla Cake Batter Coconut Butter on top of it. Love it! Thanks for sharing.
