Are the almonds whole or suppose to be ground?? and how much?
Are these mini pound cake pans? Looks like it esp b/c it says it feeds 2.
Im feeling a bit stupid here, so please bear with me. Is “almonds” actually almond flour, or almondmeal, and how much? And what about the coffee? Is it really 1tbsp coffee grounds? as in ground coffee beans? I just cant imagine this ingredients list making cakes. Thanks for your guidance!
I would not use coffee grounds. Most recipes that call for coffee uses instant coffee instead.
keeping an eye on this recipe. I would think the coffee grounds would make this bread unpleasantly crunchy. Hoping for more clarification from author.
I too have the same questions as all the folks above. Perhaps we can get some clarity from paleomonsta?
TIA
I wish I could help you guys out, but I have no way of contacting paleomonsta.
Never mind! I just received the e-mail address and contacted paleomonsta. Hopefully you’ll all have an answer soon!!
Sorry for so late of a reply, completely forgot about posting the recipe. Anyways to answer the questions, the almonds are whole, or chopped of a little bit from some crunch in the cake, its the way I like it, you don;t have to use almonds if you don’t want, you actually throw in or take out about anything you want after using the basic recipe. yes they are mini bread pans but you can use any pan you want and it will work the same. Another option and quicker is to put this recipe ion a bowl and put it in the microwave for 3:00min. Also I like using coffee grounds, gives you the taste and once again a bit of a crunch.
The basic recipe is: The eggs, protein and baking powder. After that everything else is up to you, there are unending possible options for this.
Thank you, PaleoMonsta!!
I just made this and it tastes awful. I don’t recommend this receipe. Everyone is right about the coffee grounds- not natural and so not good.
