Jalapeno Chile Burger with Curried Okra

Cooking Steps

For the burger: Heat olive oil or coconut oil in a pan over medium heat. Mix meat and ingredients togehter and form into a burger. Saute until desired level of doneness is achieved.

For the okra: Heat oil or melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, and cook until tender. Stir in the okra, and season with cumin, ginger, coriander, pepper and salt. Cook and stir for a few minutes, then reduce the heat to medium-low, and cover the pan. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until okra is tender

Ingredients

  • For the burger: 6-8 ounces ground beef, oil-coconut or olive, 1/2 tsp. very finely diced jalapeno pepper1/4 tsp of the following spices: cumin, coriander, chili powder, turmeric, black pepper
  • For the Okra: olive oil (or ghee if you consume dairy) diced onion, cumin, coriander, ginger, pepper and salt
  • 1 egg, 2 bacon strips
