Mutton and Spinach Curry

Cooking Steps

I do like cooking with different kinds of meats and Mutton is a new one to me but after tasting it I’ll be eating it a LOT more. Incredible.

It’s an easy one to make, quick to prepare just leave in the oven.

1. Add onion with garlic and fresh chili to the casserole dish and cook until soft
2. Add diced mutton and brown
3. add the spices:
-1 teaspoon cumin
-1 teaspoon fenegreek
-1 teaspoon coriander
-1 teaspoon fennel seed
-1 teaspoon cinnamon (or a stick)
4. Add 500ml of stock
5. Add chopped tomatoes
6. Add spinach
7. Put in oven and let stew for aprox 6 hours at 180. (or until mutton falls apart.

  • 300g Mutton
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Spinach
  • Red chilli
  • Garlic
  • Cinnamon
  • Cumin
  • Salt, Pepper, cumin, coriander, fennel seed,
  • onion
  • Lamb stock (veg stock will do)
