Cooking Steps

Pre heat your oven to 180 degrees celsius.
Line a 30cm square dish with baking paper.
Mix the mince, onion, spices and salt until combined.
Roll the mix into a ball and press evenly into the prepared dish.
Bake the base for ten minutes or until brown.
Now for the fun!
Layer the topping ingredients in the order listed above.
Bake for a further ten minutes.
Remove from the oven and finish with a squeeze of fresh lime.
Cut into squares and YUM YUM YUM!

Ingredients

  • for the base: 500 grams grass fed beef mince, one finely diced brown onion, one tsp chilli powder, three tsp paprika, half a tsp salt
  • for the top. three quarter of a cup of your fave salsa, one diced avocado, half a cup of shredded bacon, one diced tomato, half a cup of sliced mushrooms, a handful of stuffed olives, half a bunch of chopped coriander, the juice of a lime (to finish)

  1. I made this last night with a few changes because of what I had on hand, and it was delicious!!! I added crushed red pepper, chili powder, salt, cumin and coriander to the meat for the crust and topped it with salsa, onion, black olives, orange bell pepper and avocado. It’s great to make and have on hand for a quick and easy lunch!
