1/2 Cup Almonds (other nuts or seeds can be substituted)
1/2 Cup Walnuts (other nuts or seeds can be substituted)
1/2 Cup Apple Sauce (see recipe below)
1 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
Desiccated Coconut for rolling
Apple Sauce: 4 apples, peeld, cored and diced
Place all the ingredients into a blender and process until the dates have broken down and the ingredients are all combined.
Take spoonful’s of mixture and roll into balls. Roll each ball in coconut and keep in fridge.
Place the diced apples in a small saucepan with 3/4 cup of water.
Bring to the boil and simmer for 8 minutes.
Retain all the water/juice and blend/mash.
Allow to cool before using.
