Carrots Marsala

1.In a large saucepan, combine carrots, wine, water, oil, and pepper.
2.Bring to a boil, cover, reduce the heat, and simmer for 10 minutes, basting occasionally.
3.transfer to a serving dish, spoon any juices on top, and sprinkle with parsley.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb carrot, peeled, diagonally sliced
  • ¼ cup marsala wine
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

    Trying this tonight, however, rarely do carrots take only 10 minutes…at least not the size you’re showing in the picture.

    Made this exactly as written, timing and all. Very easy, very tasty side dish. Marsala flavouring is subtler than I’d expected it to be
