wow this sounds great … what does the arrowroot powder do and is there a substitute or can you leave it out?

Can the flax be left out? I’m allergic to numerous foods, but flax was the only one my doctor felt should be completely removed from my diet.

Looks yum! Does it toast well?

I have all the ingredients except the arrowroot powder and can’t find it locally. Have no idea how it works in the recipe … would xanthumgum work?

Really want to make this recipe but do not want it to fail cuz I’m unable to use the arrowroot powder.

I tried this last night. It tastes great, goes really well with honey. But has more of a zucchini bread consistency (at least mine did). Not great for sandwiches, it is too soft and falls apart too easily.

Will be experimenting to try to find a way to firm it up for sandwiches. You can’t cut it thin in it’s original state.

Never had a great sandwich for quite a while now. Better make one to satisfy my cravings. Thanks for the recipe.

    Sounds good.

For those of you who don’t have/can’t find arrowroot, you can substitute tapioca flour.

The ingredients are not listing for me. Can someone list them again?

The ingredient list disappeared? I’ve made this before from this very site. What’s up?
