Paleo Ketchup

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Transfer to sauce pot. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
You can use less sweetener or none at all if you wish. I prefer a spicy ketchup, so I added a few liberal squirts of siracha. It will keep for a few weeks in a jar in the fridge.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sweetener of your choice. (I used powdered stevia. Modify amount accordingly to sweeten to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch allspice
  • Pinch cloves
  • 3 tb apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne
