Sauté onions in olive oil then add the rest of the ingredients, bring to a boil and then simmer for 20 minutes. (I love to let it sit in the crockpot for an hour or so on low).
For each person, place foil into oven safe bowl, add 1/2 cup of sauce, then place your toppings. Sprinkle with Italian seasonings. Cook at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until bubbly .
