  1. amaranthus

What can be used in place of an egg? I have an egg allergy and I’m new to the Paleo way of eating.

  2. I dunno, does protein powder count as “real” food? Not in my book.

  3. Better double check your ingredients list. ON protein powder isn’t paleo. There is soy, in addition to milk.

  4. It’s protein. So how is it not paleo because it comes in a powder form? Anyone tried it, it sounds good.

  5. Its not paleo because our Paleolithic ancestors did not have access to the refining and processing and reprocessing to extract whey powder. Plus, any chocolate flavored protein powder is going to have refined sweeteners along with an array of other fillers. It probably does taste good, but not real food in my books and clearly not along Paleo guidelines.

  6. true, not Paleo. Did want to mention that if your idea is to use the paleo diet a s a guidline within this century it’s a pretty good option for packing in a lot of protein. we use Jarrows brand whey protein, It’s not an isolate and it has just a few ingredients, no RBST, and No artidicial sweeteners or fillers. It ‘s very similiar to what Dr. mercola advocates and sells, but at a fraction of the Mercola cost.

  7. Raw egg? A great way to get Salmonella. Please steer clear of the raw egg, and especially do not let your children touch it!

  8. actually, the risk of an egg being contaminated with Salmonella bacteria is very low, about 1 in 20,000 eggs, and not everyone that comes in contact with salmonella gets sick – children, the elderly and people who are immunodeficient are more at risk. My grandfather drank raw eggs every morning and lived to 99.

  9. this is ok

  10. Loved it. Thank you for taking the time. I’ll definitely return to your site to see what’s new and tell my coworkers about your posting.
