Green Chile Sausage Burgers

1. Heat a large grilling pan over medium-high heat. You can use a grill too, if you prefer.
2. In a large bowl, combine all of your ingredients until well mixed. I just used my hands.
3. Form your patties, squishing down the centers a bit so the edges are a little raised.
4. Place the patties into your heated pan and cook until the edges start to look cooked, then flip. I like to let them go a little longer on the first side to get that nice char. Let them go until your desired level of doneness.
5. Serve with your favorite burger toppings.
6. Enjoy!

My name is Marlene.I'm a proud Military Wife and Mommy to two gorgeous and charismatic little girls. I'm also a photographer and feel blessed to be able to stay home with my girls while continuing to pursue my passion for photography.I was a vegetarian for 10+ years (hence... You hunt. I gather.) and I recently decided to re-enter the meat eating world. We tried the Paleo "diet" almost 2 years ago and I was not successful, for many reasons. My husband, however, did really well. I've since learned that this isn't a diet. This is a lifestyle. Being vegetarian was probably the hardest obstacle during my first attempt. Eventually I slowly started incorporating seafood and some poultry into my nutrition plan and now here we are. Turns out, I <3 bacon! My husband is a CrossFitter and I joined his box at the beginning of this year. I've never been athletic and I have to admit that I'm kind of surprised at how much I am loving CrossFit! I wish I had started much sooner. I feel great and I look forward to our WOD's which is something I never thought I'd say.
